Any isolate chemical is NOT balanced, it will create an imbalance within the body by know and UNknown mechanisms, also numerous peer reviewed studies whereas isolate vitamins/minerals direct link to cancer.

Since my oncologist said the reason to take them was to slow natural bone loss I’ll keep taking my supplements.

While I haven't dug deep in this, you're right -- I don't think this review of studies dismisses supplements to slow natural bone loss...it just suggests that it doesn't increase density. Definitely stick to your doctor's recommendation! My well wishes on your treatment!

Secondly, it is not earth shattering that people with roughly normal levels of Vitamin D didn't show any improvement in their bones. Is it?? What about the people who were lacking in Vitamin D? Did they show an improvement?

This type of study is important to know that supplements should be used as supplement if they are really necessary, Eating balanced food, get enough sunlight and exercise should do the job.
