Of course it isn't fair. Then again, when hasn't power, influence or popularity been a determiner of where a person sits in society? Of course it isn't fair, nor has it ever been.

I think all able bodied men and women, regardless of financial status should either serve in the military, civil service, or peace corps. No exemptions! Yes, that includes the Trumps, Obama’s, and all politicians and family. The US would be a much better place for us all.

Because with k-pop stars it's harder to measure who deserves to be "freed" of such obligation and who just isn't popular/good enough to be granted that privilege.

It’s not ”fair” from the beginning. The only “fair” measure is to abolish such privilege.

Obligatory military service is just dumb and unnecessary.
-
You must not support the troops
-
are you in the military?
-
I would have been a navy seal but I have bone spurs
-
Sorry to hear that, but you have no right to decide if someone does or doesn’t support the troops
-
We should all support the troops
-
Being against obligatory service doesn’t mean your against the Troops tho
