It's just a movie. Don't try to politicize it. Entertainment. That's all.

Typically, men sacrifice themselves for women, proving the patriarchy was created by women to serve women. "Star Is Born" is essentially a hominist narrative. The woman becomes successful only through a man, who later sacrifices his life for her, the way, a reproductive trope.

Just watch, and enjoy. It's a movie, you're thinking too hard.

I would say not hard enough. She misses the point of female sexism: how women succeed only through men, who then sacrifice themselves for the woman. Still happening today. Notice, the genders never change: women never kill themselves for the men nor do they help men succeed.
