This story should be about the poor sherpas who died and not about the greedy tourists who care more about checking off their bucket list than they do about human life
-
Well said! The sherpas were probably desperate to feed themselves or their families. But the climbers who hired them were just thrill seekers. They deserve the Darwin Award, not sympathy.

Isn't this the wrong time of year to be climbing in the Himalayas? I thought the best window for summiting is in mid- to late-May... Not a climber, but have read about climbing Everest, the crown jewel of climbing. Condolences to those climber's family & loved ones.

-
That’s what I thought as well. I learned that from the movie Everest. So unfortunate RIP

WoW! I'm hoping that the days were filled with smiles and good conversation on their track to accomplish a feat only so many could say! Hopefully you are still climbing as you rest!

Dying in a violent storm, I'm picturing more screaming than good conversation. But who knows, I've never been on a mountain in Nepal.
