In Opinion Op-Ed contributors Andrew Fox and David Hill write, "Some of the poorest, most disenfranchised populations live in high-risk floodplain areas, and they are often the least equipped to evacuate before the storms or rebuild afterward."https://nyti.ms/2yCD2q7

These folks may need our help, but oil companies must also be held to account to pay for it. We need more massive class-action lawsuits to bring oil companies to their knees so public policy dictates the terms and scope of their ops—not the other way around. #CDNpoli #USpoli

People here in NYC seem to think we are safe from storms despite the fact that we can’t even use half our parkways when it rains a decent amount.

Stop voting for climate denying politicians who are literally using to pad their corporate owners and their own coffers... And you'll eventually not need our help.

Wouldn't it be nice if they also pointed out that democRATS are & have been in control of the "poorest, most disenfranchised populations" of this nation for DECADES & have never done a thing for them except hand out welfare checks & THEN TAKE THEIR VOTES FOR GRANTED!

Are they ready to vote out people who deny the effects of climate change? If not, not sure how much compassion I have.

Wow. The reason why the most if the time the poorest people live in these areas is because "duh" its called economics. These are areas where property values are low because of such things as flooding. But keep preaching from your 20th floor penthouse.
