Holy shit....you guys are starting to get it......

Funny how doing good for the country is now recognized as "trampling of presidential norms".
-
Adding trillions to the debt to temporarily bump up the market, when it didn’t need more help, isn’t helping the country in the long run. In fact, it’s harmful and irresponsible.
-
Keep on hating while you enjoy the great economy, peace in Korea, more jobs, less unemployment, less welfare recipients, arrests of child traffickers, more secure borders, better trade deals, and on and on and on . .
-
Unemployment can be chalked up to the boomer generation retiring, wages are not growing, & investor driven inflation is putting working Americans further behind. I don’t see how this economy is “booming.” Most people don’t have the luxury of playing day trader for a living.
-
You just said old people retiring is why unemployment is low. Old people retire perpetually as the new generation starts working. Correct me if I am wrong, with I may be.
-
Boomers comprise the largest generation in our species history. Please don't treat this as though it is totally normal, as it is something we have never had to address at these levels as an economy. https://onlinemba.unc.edu/blog/baby-boomer-brain-drain-infographic/ …

Right on, I knew the boomers were a big group but I was not sure how the jobs added and boomers leaving the work force evened out. That is why I said I wanted someone to explain it. Thanks I will read this link.

Please be more clear,
@nytimes. They are not only overlooking his trampling of "norms," but also his overt racism, misogyny, courting of brutal dictators, violating the constitution's conflict of interest clauses, outright tax fraud, locking children in cages. Should I go on? -
Not this suburban white male.

My wife is a Trump supporter but I am not. People/Media need to be much more careful with the generalizing identity politics creates. It perpetuates the very stigmas it allegedly addresses.
-
Apparently your wife is one of three things. 1. Ruled by a religious doctrine that doesn’t support her. 2. Racist. 3. Willfully ignorant of facts.
-
She is somewhat religious but not particularly dogmatic. She's very well informed and does not get her news from the right wing echo chamber. (Listens to a lot of NPR and reads the New Yorker cover to cover every week). Spent the early part of her career working with 1/2
-
abused and neglected children, mostly minorities. Now, I didn't agree with that calculation at the time, but I think you need to rethink some of your assumptions about your fellow citizens that disagree with you. 2/2
-
To be clear the "calculation" I was referring to was that Trump was the lesser evil.
-
So what about Trump does she support? She's ok with racism as long as her taxes are lower?
