Who would want to be a landlord in these places?

End result, no matter the result of Prop 10, will be more of the wealthy fleeing to Texas. The larger picture isn’t being addressed. You must lower taxes and cut social services.
-
The high rent is the reason many are on social services. All you're advocating for would lead to more homeless. We have a surplus and the social services are covered. You're focused on the wealthy who can more than afford a place to live here regardless.

Trying to address a supply problem by capping rents is exactly the way to make the housing crisis worse. Price is the mechanism that drives supply.

They don't need to loosen restrictions. Things are already too in favor of property owners and rent is too damn high out here already.

Prop 10 will improve nothing. If it passes, I will likely sell my SF rental and it will once again be an owner-occupied single family home.

Yes on
#prop10!! Screw these greedy corporations!! -
Many landlords are individuals such as myself, trying to make a living off our investments.

The issue isn't the privately owned rental properties. Those tend to have entirely different issues...like poor maintenance and code violations that go unchecked unless a tenant says something. The issue at hand here that isn't addressed yet... rent.
