        It’s not very hard. Death penalty is not a deterrent. That’s why USA is the only ‘advanced state’ for want of better phrase to combine the barbarity of executions with highest murder rates.

        Not sure why you are struggling with the obvious paradox. You have higher murder rates than countries without death penalty. And those who are executed tend to be poor and/or from minorities. And occasionally the innocent. What an insane thing to be committed to.

        No country in Europe has the death penalty, & each & every one has much lower murder rate. You need a solution that works.

        yeah, the state has never executed an innocent person before... also it costs more to execute someone than to imprison them for life. also the death penalty is monstrous (but thats just my opinion)
