The FBI's top lawyer testified to congressional officials last week that he had taken seriously a suggestion by Rod Rosenstein to secretly tape conversations with President Trump but decided it was too risky and unlikely to deliver meaningful informationhttps://nyti.ms/2CBRPWs

This is a lawyer who was not present for the discussion and is basing his impression on what, exactly?

Where does it say that? All I see is "it...undermines an assertion provided by the Justice Dept from a law enforcement official present on one of the occasions when Mr. Rosenstein broached the idea of taping Mr. Trump and said he was being sarcastic."

I also see he heard it secondhand: "Mr. Baker said that he learned of Mr. Rosenstein’s suggestion of wearing a wire into the Oval Office not long after he made it, either from Andrew G. McCabe, the acting F.B.I. director at the time, or a senior bureau lawyer, Lisa Page. "

Nowhere that I see, at least in this article, does it state that anyone present corroborates or supports his understanding of the conservation...

For all the people offended at this: Shut the hell up. Trump is a criminal who exploits the American people, manipulates information and lies about everything imaginable. He should be wiretapped and he SHOULD be taken out of office. The country deserves better than this lunatic.

It's funny to see @realDonaldTrump being offended at the idea of being taped when he suggested he was doing it himself …. before bottling it.

A old deep state hack that wasn't in the room. Yet people in the room corroborated Rosebsteins account of the story that he was arguing with his boss and said what do you want me to do wear a wire.... try harder.
