The FBI director, Christopher Wray, defended the FBI's handling of an abbreviated background check into Brett Kavanaugh, saying the investigation was "consistent with the standard process for such investigations going back quite a long ways"https://nyti.ms/2CCcCsT

So the FBI is accustomed to not following ALL leads and turning down information?

I believe in this case, the FBI can only investigate what the White House says they can investigate. I believe there is a FOIA request to get copies of document sent from White House to FBI instructing what FBI could and couldn’t investigate.

The White House controls the FBI ! And every other organization « working » for the Government.

That’s a pretty poor process then.

Bullfeathers Chris. In a normal FBI investigation, the White House Counsel doesn't tell you who you can and cannot interview, nor do they get to put a time limit on it.

The FBI consistently does background checks into Supreme Court nominees with sexual assault allegations leveled at them and doesn't interview the accused or the accuser? Makes sense if you DON'T think about it.

Her hours of testimony are on the record and available to fbi. Also, ALL of her witnesses denied her account until pressured to say otherwise. Second, she said poly/therapy notes would prove her account. Then refused to turn them over to investigators. Very fishy indeed

But didn’t interview complaints and the people Kavanaugh knew at the time who said he was a drunken booze hound. At minimum he lied to the senate.

I don’t think that the FBI was allowed by White House to investigate potential perjury by #Kavanaugh. We won’t know for sure until either White House or FBI releases the document stating what the FBI could and couldn’t investigate.
