"You see everything here," says one resident of a Philadelphia neighborhood known for its open-air drug sales. "Overdoses, shootings, killings. We are exposed to trauma every day just living here. It's constant."https://nyti.ms/2PpOM6l

It might be worth a test. Evidently it's practically impossible to kick this addiction. The only way to really stop it is stop the flow into the US. If Mexico won't stop it I just don't see how we can? Mexico is so corrupt is way pass stop. The drug cartels rule Mexico it seems.

We are using this harm reduction model in our large cities. Safe injection sites are working on so many levels🇨🇦. It's not a Mexico issue. It's the war on drugs, the big time traffickers in the US. But your right, I don't know the solution to addiction.

Practically most of the dope coming into the US is thru Mexico. Assuming there is no way to stop the flow it might be best to test try these addiction centers. But, who the Hell wants to live by them? That's another problem. And will it attract more users from God knows where?

If it wasn't illegal, ie. Decriminalization... You would end and destroy the cartels. Regarding safe injection sites..... They are generally located in the neighbourhoods that need them. Heroin atticts in the burbs use site vans and or have enough money to buy clean needles.

only 4% of the heroin distributed in the US is from Afghanistan. South America and Mexico are the big players in the production of heroin, and most of the heroin in the U.S. comes from Mexico. https://www.simplerecovery.com/where-does-heroin-come-from/ …
