Taylor Swift's decision to jump into politics over the weekend appears to have contributed to a flurry of last-minute registrations before deadlines in many stateshttps://nyti.ms/2PpErrf

It’s simultaneously great that Taylor was able to inspire people to register and yet sad that it took a pop star in order for people to care about our country. I will never understand the apathy for civic engagement in our country.

A lot of people in this country see parties change while their own situations in their communities remain the same. Our country will get more civic engagement when people begin to feel and see what their government does for them and not just for the stock market and military

Hopefully they will remember that they have to vote in 4 weeks or in Taylor time "two boyfriends" from now.

Or maybe people realized it was the deadline to register and they registered

Nope. Usual registrations through Vote are about 1000/day. 65,000 is so far above normal that even approaching deadlines can't explain it.

But Taylor endorsed a democrat candidate, but his opponent is seeing a surge in votes. So it really has nothing to do with her, unless she has negative impact.

That proves you didn't read her post. She endorsed someone then told her fans to vote after doing their own research. Don't be bitter when you don't know shit.

She spent 99% of the post elaborating how she is repulsed by the republican runner, so clearly you have't read her post

Maybe you read it, but you didn't understand it. She gave her opinion and let the people be free. She didn't tell them who to vote for, it's a free country. Can't believe you're a Gaga fan. GTFO.

The republican candidate she attacked in her post has seen a 8-point surge in votes, so she has a huge negative impacthttps://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/10/07/marsha-blackburn-phil-bredesen-tennessee/ …
