Bert and Ernie. Best friends. Roommates. Lovers? Mark Saltzman, a former “Sesame Street” writer, said that his comments were misinterpreted. "They are two guys who love each other."https://nyti.ms/2DhozVU

What is wrong with some people? For decades, children and adults alike have enjoyed the innocence of the relationship between Bert & Ernie, two best friends...a bromance even. And now, some clown had to come shatter that innocence with provocative modernist mischief making.

Post modernism has opened it jaws to swallow the age of Innocence. The vulnerable and malleable minds of or children must now be guarded with greater scrutiny of what is delivered on these targeted programs.

You are so right! Forget going outside unattended to play, just peeping through the window from inside the house is now dangerous!

I think it's now safer for kids to play outside than it is for them to stay indoors watching TV.

There is that too! “Go to your room” used to be punishment. But with the internet and all else accessible to them in their rooms these days, not so much anymore!

Interesting. In one day they essentially went from being in the closet, to out of the closet, to there never being a closet in first place because they don't exist in sesame street 🤔

Where I'm from they had two beds, one for the other. They aren't gay, PERIOD.

We don't need to know. Sesame Street is a show for children that promotes, learning, health, and kindness.
