If there is one thing we have learned from the Catholic church abuse cases is that there should be no social expectation as to when a victim should report a crime. It is they who have been victimized, it is they who have been violated, it is they who are suffering. Back off.

I didn't realize that victims are to adhere to social expectations when making claims of assault. I was raped in college 20 years ago and spoke about it for the first time in 2017, due to shame, guilt and embarrassment. I guess I missed my window... #metoo

Her name is Professor Christine Blasey Ford. But my question is, why aren't you asking why Grassley scheduled a hearing, minutes after a phone call with Kavanaugh... ...but without even consulting Ford and her lawyer first?

Speak now, or forever hold your peace. In regular court, if the accuser is a no show, the charges are dropped and the case is dismissed. Period.

The woman has a name: Christine Blasey Ford. And she shouldn't respond until she knows exactly what kind of Kangaroo Court the Senate hearing will be. How can Senators question her or Judge Kavanaugh before an official FBI investigation has uncovered facts & witness testimony?

It's easy for people on opposite sides of the political spectrum to assume the other side is always unreasonable, and to treat them unreasonably. I am guilty of that from time to time, and seem to have been here. I apologize.

I was just misinformed. I don't neccisarily side with Kavanaugh or Ford because I feel both sides have a bit that they are leaving out and both Ford and Judge both refuse to testify now so I'm at a loss.

Because this is clearly garbage. They should hold a committee vote on Monday and approve Kavanaugh to the Senate floor for final vote if she doesn't show up. Put your money where your mouth is.
