President Trump shouldn't let the NFL upstage him like this, he needs to retire tomorrow while singing the National Anthem.

We don’t get to choose when we have an epiphany. Our only choice is to either respond or continue living someone else’s life.

So many commenters on so many threads that never had the balls to walk out of a job that wasn't right for them the moment the knew it was wrong. It's just an employer, nothing else. They would can your ass in a minute if they had to. No shame in the peace out.

And it was the accumulating knowledge of chronic traumatic encephalopathy from hits in football that caused me to stop watching almost as abruptly a year ago. Good for him.

The NFL's initial refusal to acknowledge CTE also hastened my departure from pro football as a viewer.

As someone who stayed in employment that endangered my physical and mental health I applaud this man for walking off when he knew he was done instead of staying on against his better judgment. In the end it's a job, its status as a national religion be damned.

It said he did one tackle and wasn’t injured but maybe he it was a near miss injury and he wasn’t willing to risk it any more. His message on Instagram seemed heartfelt.
