My take: it probably was an unforgivable accident and as much a matter of who the police select to be on the force and the training that overemphasizes “neutralizing any threat.”

This was no accident. She’s told at least 5 different versions of the story and 6 neighbors have come forward saying they heard her banging on his door demanding that he open it. She also filed a noise complaint against him the same day of the murder.

This is stupid. White folks get stopped for driving too fast, or swerving in traffic, or for equipment violations too. The difference is that the black-skin driver takes the ‘pull-over’ as some kind of big slight against them (which it isn’t). Next, the black driver shows anger.
-
It’s not stupid at all. Black people are statistically far more likely to get pulled over by cops while driving and profiled and frisked while walking. They longer prison sentences than whites. All the data is easily accessible.
-
My husband was pulled over a couple weeks ago because he looked like he didn’t have a license and they wanted to know who’s car he was driving? Searched him and the car. Why? Because he was in the wrong town. If a black man fails to comply he can be shot.
-
Have these people ever seen videos of how white people act when they get pulled over? They act a fool, and live. Reach for your license like the police ask you to and you might end up dead.

Shot him? She MURDERED him.
-
The media will never call it murder because that would lead to being held accountable for it and the police can’t have that it will change the narrative that all people of colour are dangerous.

Shopping while black? Racist or just pointing out the HYPOCRISY of always claiming innocent where clearly there are problems within the minority community? https://www.facebook.com/wmbfnews/videos/305947183523641/ …
-
these looters have nothing to do with innocent black people who have been approached and even killed in stores. Stop trying to gaslight it.
-
Give me a break.. you can't claim 1 side without also claiming the other.. This isn't a isolated incident. So if we are going to have a DISCUSSION we need to be HONEST about the why these things happen.
-
I am having a discussion. White people commit crime every day; but they're not shot in own home and pulled over as often. Double standard.
-
Where do you get your information? I am by NO means stating RACISM doesn't exist. I'm just pointing out that the perpetual VICTIMHOOD is false. There is a CLEAR problem on BOTH sides of the ISSUE. When both can WORK together we can have harmony.
-
ok Cory; this is where I end convo. Your use of caps, focus on black crime in timeline and belief of victimhood wont be conducive. Good day.
-
Good day to you also.

The answer is very simple, don't resist, be polite be compliant. Realize that this too shall pass. (And no the current Dallas situation does not apply here.) I am white. I have been stopped and approached by two officers with pistols drawn for a burnt out headlight.
-
First, it was clear that you are white from your answer, second the clear answer is police not breaking into homes illegally, next you had a similar experience ONCE black Americans encounter this kind of thing constantly.
-
Actually, dear it's been twice. And I was quite clear to differentiate between traffic stops and the police kicking down one's door. I am not saying the police aren always right when it comes to profiling in traffic stops, I am suggesting what one might do if you wish to survive.
-
It is disrespectful and unacceptable to call me dear. Responding to a police shooting a man in his home with ‘this too shall pass’ makes white people look bad. Two instances doesn’t come close to the experience of most black Americans.
-
Disrespectful? My apologies. I call most people that. Unsurprisingly you seem very much like the philosophy you espouse- that of eternal victim. Good day.
