Lawd child it happened at the end of Dubya’s second term in office. Almost ten years after Clinton was gone.

So you’re not aware that under Clinton, it was made possible for low income families to get million dollar loans. Combined with repealing the Glass Steagall, set us up for a housing crisis and recession. Guess what else manifested itself 10yrs later , North Korea nukes

The subprime mortgage crisis was caused by hedge funds, banks and insurance companies. The first two created mortgage-backed securities. The insurance companies covered them with credit default swaps. Demand for mortgages led to an asset bubble in housing.

The Clinton administration’s policies may have paved the way for this to happen, but it was ultimately the Bush administration’s deregulation of Wall Street and the financial sector that enabled and set in motion the crash.

The whole purpose of banking was access to capital. If their profits grow yet they take less risks, where do Startups and SMEs get the fund from? Looks like a loaded dice, doesn't it.

But blame their problems on modern culture, you know, don't you.......? Like the Commbank employee, who in 2001, told me on the phone, "we're gonna do it, we're gonna do it"? Little did I know what he meant at the time?
