Gov. Andrew Cuomo was the epitome of the very establishment the Democratic left has been frothing against. And he won a resounding victory.https://nyti.ms/2OtQu6w

Establishment bluster ... they maintain that because the progressives didn't win every single battle, the progressive platform is a failure. In fact it is the Establishment that is barely hanging on at this point; the either can't see it or more likely don't want to see it.

It was because he didn't have an experienced enough opponent. Trust me, Andrew Cuomo is more for himself than Democracy. I'm a Liberal Democrat and I didn't like either choice in the primary. (I'm registered Independent, so, I can't vote in them.)

It was honestly the devil I know vs the one I don't know and in my opinion, the experience is very important. I'd happily give her a chance in a local election or as state rep so she can earn a higher position.

The sleazy establishment politician at the head of a compliant political machine in a state with a massive population and suppressive voter laws, won an election.

        - Resounding vicory against a flaky, leftist TV actress with no experience doing anything. Is that a big deal in NY?

Even in New York, Cynthia Nixon may be unelectable. I'll take an establishment Dem any day over a spineless Republican who licks Trumps boots. We have two Republicans on the ballot in Florida exactly like that, one for Governor and one for US Senate.
