The K-Pop singers HyunA and E'Dawn took a highly unusual step last month when they went public with their romantic relationship. On Thursday, they were fired by their management company.https://nyti.ms/2Oii5XZ

Firing HyunA is like firing Taylor Swift for publicly dating someone. She's a rather huge name in Korea. That's insane.

The article is good but I wish that you mentioned Hyuna’s work beyond appearing in Gangnam Style and Triple H. She’s been in Wonder Girls and 4Minute, both successful girl groups, and led a well known solo career.

HyunA is one of the biggest names in the K-Pop genre. This is one of the worst moves for a management team to make.

I think readers could use a little background to appreciate the impact of the story more. Kpop is gaining ground in the US, but an expose on the industry & the way it differs from US Music industry with this as the lead in might've been more insightful & a better read #jussayin

It is not surprising for both of them. If an employee breaks the rules/ the company policy without respect, what would you on behalf of the company management have done with them? Still hiring them and keeping them as honorable staff? 😏

Their company doesn’t have a policy in regards to dating, so they’re actually free to date.

No they don’t as you said. But their actions were against to the press conference of the company like breaking their company management’s credit and discrediting them that means they did not follow the rules with respect. If you are one of the management, are you ok with this?

Here i still questioning why people asking cube to do this or that. Many knet want edawn to be removed and many international fan want them to stay. How can a fan speaks better than the staff itself? They are relating to many things and people being mad over what cube does

As media like NY Times pointed that to date caused to be fired as headline so that’s why most int’l fan disagreed the cube’s action. Yet breaking their management face in public caused the cube being discredited by both of them was the actual reason...

I forget to say I am not concerned anything about cube but I don’t wanna be a victim of the media to mess thing up. Although both artists did it to the cube that was not right it didn’t mean the company did it right.

Pentagon deserve the popularity over their music. But this issue will give a bad side to them. Either hyuna and edawn stay or leave, cube are already at loss. Cube affected, the couple affected, pentagon affected. Even the fellow labelmate also affected by this situation. so sorry
