Ten years ago today, the CEOs of Wall Street's banks were huddled at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, in a mad scramble to save the financial industry and the economy. Here's a look at the key moments of the crisis.https://nyti.ms/2OgtqYH

So they bailed themselves out, then got their buddies to pass laws making it harder for average Americans to do the same.

I can't read the article because do not belong. Is one of the moments when our government gave them billions and they took their bonuses anyways?

Yes let’s look at the mess that Obama had to sort out thanks to the credit crunch of 2008. @realDonaldTrump how quickly you seem to have forgotten. How quickly are you increasing the Federal deficit to nearly $1 TRILLION and rising thanks to tax cuts and golf?

Millions of families were handled in their homes, trying to find ways not to become homeless as they had no jobs and were being foreclosed on by banks (who sold them shitty loans). Instead of help, the government bailed out fat cats on Wall Street. Try writing that story instead.

No they were trying to save themselves. As soon as we bailed them out they were all crying “fiscal restraint”. There was money to bail out Wall St. but not Main ST. I supported their bailout because I thought we are all in this together. Next time I say let them burn.

people made those decisions for the banks leading to the financial crisis. Not one ever went to jail. Now we can't find them because they are cruising around in yachts. the DOJ "penalties" of the comapneis are meaningless.

Yeah, my wife was at 266 Park and 383 Madison. She was told to “obscure” her employee badge when going to 383 Madison. Very worrying times.
