NC is “ruled” by a Republican legislature. The same one that brought us gerrymandering.

The ironic result is that it'll be business that forces the changes post hurricane/sea level rise. Insurers will raise rates and reduce coverage areas, and those coasts will have their bluff called. And they'll come crawling on their bellies to have science fix the mess.

It's the escape clause to the Scientific Method: if somebody that sounds like Foghorn Leghorn/Senator Claghorn passes a law disputing known observations and reality, the hypothesis/theory becomes null and void.

State government just wanted to save money because who cares about improvised communities of color like Michigan wit Flint, or the US wit Puerto Rico, or New Orleans.. or Hawaii, the list goes on..

Your right, it's north Carolina's fault that hurricane relief has not been great and they also caused the water crises in flint michigan. It is the government of North Carolina's job to take care of everything within their state, not writhing Michigan's state lines...

You know, I didn’t say that NC gotta take care of other states. What I said is that states like NC or Mich prefer to save money than to pay for life saving infrastructure for impoverished POC communities. Sheesh Tom, read better will ya.

I don’t think this is ab impoverished communities- tourism is a huge part of NC’s economy. They thought if they ignored sea level rise projections, they’d go away. Lots of ppl still don’t realize ocean front property will be underwater. Willful ignorance is gonna be costly.

So let me get this straight, NC making something like 40 milli a day on tourism and they still too cheap & too corrupt to use that money for life saving infrastructure for impoverished communities/rich people homes on the shore. Okay.

Truly, read your first tweet wrong, my bad. Please site your source. I was looking at the public tax information from the state, and the state only makes about 3 million a day in tourism taxes and the local governments collect about 2 million a day. 1/8 of your claim.

https://www.ncfieldfamily.org/travel/north-carolina-tourism-marks-record-year/ … These people here are saying some shit, maybe they are exaggerating them numbers.. which means that NC ain’t that touristy anyway. So NC govment is still wack and criminal.

Okay! Yes you were referring to the dollars spent I think, correct me if I am wrong. There is a big difference between revenue (dollars spent) and profit (for government that is tax income). I appreciaste you providing your source, and being civil!
