Gov. Roy Cooper of North Carolina ordered what he believed was the first state-mandated evacuation of the state’s barrier islands. “The waves and the wind this storm may bring is nothing like you’ve ever seen.”https://nyti.ms/2CMyfYu

F 45 I agree, but how about some concern for the people in the Carolinas.

I'm absolutely concerned about the Carolinas..I lived there 15 years and have family there, now... Just was pointing out that that statement is played out...

My apologies. It’s just an incredibly scary situation. Didn’t mean to overreact. Hope your family stays safe throughout.

No worries. I agree! Most of my people are in Asheville and likely will just be "tremendously wet" ..lol But I've got people in Winston and Kannapolis (which I know still isn't coastal) Worried about OBX.. it's a special place 😞

I have nothing but positive thoughts for their safety and anyone along the coast or close. OBX will always be a special place to me. ❤️ Stay safe.

I hope this majestic home/ inn from Nights in Rodanthe movie with Richard Gere and Diane Lane isn't damaged by the storm. I know it had been moved to sit on higher ground but its still by the beach and this hurricane is packing a mighty punch!https://hookedonhouses.net/2011/07/25/the-inn-from-nights-in-rodanthe-rescued-and-renovated/ …
