Dozens of migrants — possibly more than 100 people — drowned in the Mediterranean Sea while trying to reach Europe this month after their boat sank and passengers waited in the water for hours until a rescue ship arrived, said Doctors Without Bordershttps://nyti.ms/2CTXsQW

What debate? This entire "story" is based on 1 witness "account" out of 276 ppl rescued & #MSF fictive narrative. After 10 days neither IOM nor Libyan Coast Guard can confirm this incident. Did the authors @perezpena @EPovoledo even bother to contact EUNAVFORMED HQ for statement?

If someone is drowning you simply try to save them. Discussions can take place later. This is basic humanity.

If they've come to be relied upon, it's not a rescue ship, its the intended method of transport. If the ships stop patrolling, the inflatables won't leave Libya.

The migrants choose to take the risk knowing very well the consequences. Their fault.
