Maybe if California Stopped giving Illegal Drivers License to Illegal Aliens ... The time wait would go down ... Just keeping it Lawful and American!

I call BS I was in and out of the DMV within 40 minutes you just have to have the proper paperwork for your real California ID is organized and some locations more than others you just have to find the right one . And by all means don't do a walk-in book an appointment

If you could get a California Drivers License from China in less time than it takes in California then you’d be saying something.

California - big government, over regulation, largest tax rates in the country, billions in debt,... yet still advocates for open borders and licenses for undocumented aliens as well as a robust welfare system with no path out. This is the vision of the future if Democrats lead

Why? Because voters are power to politicians. Power to keep everyone in line and squash individual liberties which is the founding principle of America. America, choose your leaders wisely because we reap what we sow.

The suggestion to make an appointment is kinda moot because they mail your renewal application two months before your birthday and the wait time for appointments can be two months in locations. So you're stuck with going in person so you don't drive around with an expired license

I did and had a screenshot. They claimed it wasn’t in the system. Me and several others all with the same issue.

That is ridiculous! I am so sorry. We haven't had to renew for a while. My husband lost his wallet & we had to go down to get him a temp license. They were so helpful and fast. Maybe a few minutes wait. Must be a local thing rather than a statewide one?

I’m in Northern California and the story was done in LA - it’s statewide according to the news stories I’ve seen.

In the L.A. appointments are running a month out or longer.

Nevertheless, you don’t have to wait in line when you get there. I live in a rural county and the appointment date might be 2-3 weeks, but you still don’t wait in line

That’s why whenever I need to go to the DMV I schedule it around times that I go to our family cabin. Even with an appointment, the wait times in the L.A. area are hellish.
