Judge Brett Kavanaugh, dodging questions at his confirmation hearings, drew on lessons learned from earlier nominees: Say nothing, say it at great length, and then say it again.https://nyti.ms/2O0VOxE

It seems undemocratic and actually ridiculous that a SCOTUS nominee can refuse to answer whether certain cases were correctly decided. Why shouldn't the nation be able to learn where a nominee stands on fundamental Constitutional principles developed in precedents?

Kavanaugh hearings make a mockery of the Supreme Court. Nominated by a criminal, materials unfairly withheld, no answers to questions, clear deception by Kavanaugh, stonewalling by Grassley and zero respect in the room. Clearly Kavanaugh values self interest over high standards.

This shows that the Republicans have done a superior job in framing the debate over nominees. What's next? Question: What about Marbury vs. Madison? Answer: that's a precedent of long standing Senator.

@SenPatRoberts @JerryMoran any kind of Senate or House hearing is increasingly a show trial with little substance. What's different in the Kavanaugh trial is the systematic effort to SUPPRESS his record and to IGNORE what what we know of it. He shows us who he is. Vote NO!

Kavenaugh's repeated ramblings and irrelevant anecdotes, coupled with a lack of general articulation in his answers, makes him as ill-suited for his job as Trump is for his.

Dodging does NOT fulfill the oath he took to tell the truth, the WHOLE truth, and NOTHING BUT the truth. He violated the oath in a dozen different ways, and that's perjury. Case closed.
