As a pediatrician this makes a lot of sense. Teenagers are not lazy, they biologically have a different sleep/wake cycle than young kids or adults. They will learn more and be more productive if they sleep and start school later.

How about going to bed earlier?

Adolescents' circadian rhythms change and they can't get to sleep earlier. I've got two and making them go to bed earlier doesn't help. There are lots of studies about this. States & school districts that have later start times see significant improvement in health & test scores.

They may shift the School start, but my working day starts the same. So even if they shift it, it makes no difference for my kids, they have to get up the same time as before. And by the way, i get up 3:45 everyday and still act like an adult.

With climate departure heat you want to either start early or start much later in the day, or have your A/C in place.
