.@nytimes you should investigate and write about this! Women in all sports are held to a more strict standard than men. Women athletes and coaches get penalize for comments that are relatively trivial compared to their male counterparts.

Takes a lifetime to build a reputation and a day to undo it. Serena kept going back at umpire. Was not a “heat of the moment” outburst but an ongoing tantrum by someone acting like a brat. Disgraceful to include gender in the argument

Serena salud her coach showed a finger as saying "come on" but the TV clearly shows his coach signaling with both hands as to mové deeper in th court. She lied and was well penalized. No gender issue here

Anyone who has played competitive sports knows that an ump who appears to be unfairly focused on minutia can be very distracting and debilitating to a game. @serenawilliams was right to call him out; he contributed significantly to her loss. #USOpen fix this issue!

If she had any sort of self control this wouldn’t have happened, tough. She is now floating this as a woman’s rights issue which tells you all. 3/4th time this had happened to her. If you always do what you always did you always get what you always got.
