From what I’m hearing Osaka outplayed Williams... I don’t understand why people feel the need to boo her. It’s her first grand slam, let her have that moment of happiness. People can be so gross sometimes!

She is brilliant , I watched the she has the focus and the strength of Serena, with the quite determination to win .

Serena was a disgrace and acted like a hurt princess. VERY SHAMEFUL BEHAVIOUR Even at the press conference she continued with a MEAN, PROUD ACTING towards the referee, not admiting her faults but making something out of it that is not true. NO RESPECT TO AUTHORITY, BAD ATTITUDE

Not to mention how everyone just conveniently ignoring how @Naomi_Osaka_ practically gave @serenawilliams a free game after that penalty... that’s how much margin she had ahead of Serena, who was never close to winning the championship @usopen

Serena was a disgrace. .no thought for her opponent who was by far the better player. ..disrespectful to the referee ..acted like a spoilt brat. ..ruined the whole experience for Osaka. ..selfish unprofessional behavior rewarded by the crowd. .booing Osaka when being presented

Naomi is an angel who showed that she could play Serena at equal level. Sad that it ended with a conflict for Serena but not fair that it took off the joy of Niaomi to celebrate her well earned & deserved title.🇫🇷🇺🇸

The ref made dubious call when he took away the game. That never happens. Ref lacking calm temperament when woman questioned his call.
