As Trump rages, Senate Republicans move ahead toward perhaps the most lasting impact of his era: a conservative shift in the balance of the Supreme Court capable of shaping the country for a generation.https://nyti.ms/2O0dcmk

The judicial branch is there to interpret laws as written. Not to be a bypass for liberal activists who can’t get their unAmerican laws passed through Congress.

To place a perjurer on SCOTUS is a travesty. But.. well...it’s what republicans do.

I've wondered on more than one occassion if the GOP encourages Trump's* tantrums and theatrics to use a cover and divert attention so they can quietly push through their agenda.

Lets's not forget that nothing is written in stone, not precedents, not even Supreme Court residency. Even Supreme Court Justices can go down. All performances will be on record and readily accessible as evidence if needed. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!!!

How can you appoint someone to the Supreme Court who is a proven liar. The Presidency is bad enough.

This article accepts entirely uncritically the premise that Democrats wouldn’t impeach a SC Justice for committing perjury.

Yep. If Kavanaugh gets confirmed I for one would demand his impeachment as soon as Dems take the Senate. If this wave keeps building this year Dems could take the Senate. Kavanaugh's term could be very short indeed.

Amazing that it doesn’t bother you that instead of listening to the views of a well respected person on the other side of the aisle your president would rather nap. It should bother you greatly that Trump has so little regard for anyone not sucking up to him.

It’s irresponsible to move forward with a nominee who will clearly be impeached & removed. Chase was stubborn and political, Kavanaugh is also a liar.
