I have a recipe much like this. Red wine instead of white. Thick cream rather than milk. Not so much waiting for end result! It’s my husbands favorite sauce. I also use orecchiette pasta. Little “bowls” that hold the sauce.

Dio mio! Salsa alla bolognese: you don’t use butter, nor milk. Red wine, not white. You cook it on very low flame for 2-3 hours.
