Rents are to high. Triple net expenses. Small business can’t survive anymore. Greed is in charge.

Greed? State greed. NYC is bad for businesses because of scorching taxes...

Real estate costs for a restaurant in NYC are unsustainable. I can’t argue with you about taxes. You probably know better than me if you live there. Both combined you have no chance to make a go of it.

It's Economics 101 as to why this is happening. When wages don't cover the cost of living, let alone allow discretionary spending, the businesses that rely on consumer spending are the ones that go bust.

Thanks to liberal politicians in NY. They just line their with taxing the wealthy and focusing on free handouts to illegals. Thanks to Como, NY is becoming a San Francisco. All NY Times is a Trump bashing rag now. The only thing good that has come out of NY is our great President

In LA empty office buildings and stores are becoming apartments in now trendy downtown. The rents are still too high but it does add to housing inventory.

LA has the same problems . It's who they elect. They elect threw friends of friends or what I call California royalty. Not because they qualify. I hate it. If I wanted royalty I would get my queen back

Affordable buildings torn down and replaced by “luxury” everywhere. The charm is gone. Too much of our city is looking like Houston.

Who are you electing ? I'm not talking about the president either because he has little to do with you're problems. Fix your you're state from the ground up if you want it functional you need people that know what they are doing . Not people that sound good or look pretty.

No it literally has nothing to do with a president. It is who you elect locally.

Seriously quit electing basically the Democrat version of Trump = Cuomo. Also I wanted to post the GIF for "why not both?" Trump is very much a part of this world and my bet would be that he has made this kind of thing worse through executive order.
