        Many people with significantly more intelligence and class than President Trump casually throw around the phrase "retarded." Unless discussing an appropriately-diagnosed condition, it is not okay. If any good comes out of this, hopefully it will be retirement of the r-word.

        Trump is one of those people who lies so frequently and instinctively, he doesn't even realize he's lying. He believes his own falsehoods. He doesn't let reality get in his way, either. Proof does not matter to him, nor does it matter to his cult. They invent their own reality.
