        @nytimes - as a general rule, it’s impossible not to eat things that are teeming with bacteria. Although this doesn’t mean you should eat placentas.

        What wasn't addressed in the piece was post-partum depression. Even a perceived improvement in depression, whether placebo or placentophagological, is a great improvement for the mother and family.

        Not that I’ve ever even thought about eating my placentas (pregnant with child number 3) but do you even know how much bacteria is already in and on our bodies anyway? We aren’t sterile lol.
