Almost exactly a year after NFL players’ protests exploded into a polarizing political debate, thousands of eyes once again scanned the sidelines to see if anyone in uniform was kneelinghttps://nyti.ms/2MSlyQq

Yes, people’s eyes scanned the sideline to look for the true Americans still making a statement for the cruelty and injustice African Americans face daily at the hands of our rogue, racist police officers. And other injustices they face.

Protesting the national anthem disrespects & denies sacrifices of all Americans who fought and died for freedoms so many take for granted. The sacrifices don't end with America's military & law enforcement. They include my/your ancestors, Rosa Parks, MLK, JFK, Lincoln.

A bunch who work hard, who off the field, have experienced same discrimination or have relatives, friend's, neighbors, who have. Nothing is just handed to them.

They live in America, therefore they are in the top 1% of people who have ever lived in terms of NOT BEING OPPRESSED. Everyone has experienced discrimination and hardship, I DON'T FEEL BAD FOR MILLIONAIRE ATHLETES

Those athletes are seeking to bring light to the injustices others have endured, not to their personal plights. Those without money are able to bring NO attention to the issue.

So I assume all that Money Kaepernick is making from the Nike deal he is going to be donating to inner city schools? Or Paying for the funerals of people killed by police? Or is he just gonna buy a sports car and go to a strip club? Get real.
