I survived Harvey, but I know many didn’t. Working poor were turned away by FEMA & some got a token that did nothing to help make their home livable again. Had to sell/move—profiteers came in flipped houses & renting them (for now) making $$. It sucks.

I had a student in my safety class who lived in Xenia, OH who's home had been hit 3 different times by tornados. I was told the native Indians had called that area "land of the devil's winds." This is not a new problem. There were 405 tornadoes on 3 Apr. 1974; how soon forgotten!

You don't think it's funny that this book " #FEAR "comes out when the #GOP are trying to push #Kavanaugh through the #scotus hearing? In the mist of all this turmoil, we need to focus on what's most important. #StopKavanaugh

I marvel at how libs give so much respect to "precedent" that is so recent and in itself overturned endless precedent, yet they had no problem overturning 200 years of immigration doctrine and green lighting cross-state taxation overturning Ogden from 1824.
