The idea that a President can pardon himself is just so ridiculous. No one can be above the law. No one. What stops the next president from just gunning down all his opponents or murdering his wife or making outright insider trading deals? It’s insane reasoning.

Qualified to coach his daughters basketball team but anyone who conceals documents, is evasive about answering important questions and allows a President to have virtually unlimited power, lied to congress to get his current position should not be appointed to the Supreme Court.

They could stop his confirmation if all the Democrats go along. But it may depend on how they interpret the difference between "settled law" and "correct decision" about Roe v Wade. He is clearly antiabortion. How will they be about semantics?
