Maybe tell patients to use less harmful drugs that can do the same exact thing, like I dont know cannabis, for the ones saying what if they have lung problems you can eat edibles or vape cbd oil. CBD oil wont get you high either but big pharma would lose money so thats a no go

The outcome measure should not be prescriptions but the disease outcome. Decreasing opioid prescribing for patients who need them will only result in patients who are in pain who are seeking opioids illegally.
-
Not prescribing the needed antipsychotics to patients resulted in poorly managed mental health disorders. Doctors don’t need more regulatory actions but the tools and assistance to be able to provide the best care using their clinical judgement.
-
No doctor gets into this trying to do harm. The goal is always improved patient health and sending letters to decrease prescribing may result in worse care for patients
