For science, the destruction of the National Museum in Brazil means a loss of the past, and of future discoveryhttps://nyti.ms/2wJLRNN

When asked if your house was on fire, what would you take out with you, after "family & pets," most people answer "cherished mementos." Imagine the loss of an entire country's cherished mementos😢

There was fire extinguishers and hydrants, some of them without water... There is no excuse, it was a shameful case of either museum administration and brazilian government's neglect.

This happens when the communist administration takes over a museum! Some of them linked to the museum would rather research about gay orgies than preserve the historical pieces in the museum... all paid with public money...

The poor lost of indigenous people of the Americas 😢 feather work is awesome and so little it remains in Latin America because the colonizers took it to Europe and won’t give it back. 😾 they better not use this incident as an excuse to not repatriate.

They SAID they'd store them. But do you believe that? I mean, store them for another time? For keepsakes? For what really? The obvious is the obvious. When have any of them, ever said anything, and followed through on their statement? Never! I'm guessing, but I'm willing to bet!
