At least 87 elephant corpses were counted during aerial surveys. Their tusks were all hacked off, in a massacre said to be one of the worst recorded in Africa.https://nyti.ms/2Q5dz0q

I'd say that's "evidence"! Jesus 32,000 elephants killed since 2012? If I read that correctly I just want to cry/scream!

It's actually worse than that. @ElesWoutBorders conducted a scientific aerial survey of elephants in 18 African countries, & their results show we lost 30% of Africa's elephants between 2007-2014, about 144,000 elephants killed primarily due to poaching. http://www.greatelephantcensus.com/final-report pic.twitter.com/wXkhjhQzij

That’s staggering and outrageous. Humans have killed a third of a species for traditional medicine and figurines. The worst thing is they just take the tusks and leave the bodies... humans really suck sometimes.

Big game hunters pay a lot of money, and that money funds preservation programs and helps to stop illegal poaching.

So you'd be okay with these animals becoming extinct. Because that's what would happen if you outlawed all big game hunting that funds preservation programs. Unless you want to personally shell out the money for them.

There are other ways to fund preservation than killing the very animals you are telling me hunting funds. That’s a contradiction in terms.
