If Brett Kavanaugh is appointed to the Supreme Court and votes as his record suggests, the Court will move to the right on several important fronts, even as the country’s demographics predict a shift of the electorate to the lefthttps://nyti.ms/2Q27Po5

One subtle but important reason for the Supreme Court’s potential shift to the right with Brett Kavanaugh: He is considerably more conservative than Anthony Kennedy, who he would replace, writes @adamliptakhttps://nyti.ms/2wOAnc7

It’s not just the Supreme Court that could move right. Republicans are carrying out a sweeping transformation of the judiciary, with President Trump installing a historic number of conservative judges to the federal benchhttps://nyti.ms/2Q4cQwf

Or the Supreme Court moves to its Consitutional role rather than being a super legislature like it’s been the last forty years?

Good point, @PodcastObsessed. I would like more accountability from @nytimes about how easily they were manipulated by the Russian hacking story. They need to forward policies about not reporting extensively on stories that are obvious acts of propaganda and misinformation.

The SCOTUS is there to interpret the constitutionality of the laws. The whims of the public and the media are irrelevant.

I've lived in Alabama, Tennessee, and Virginia; two of those states have Democratic senators. After the Dems take the House in November Trump will either resign or be the first president in history to be convicted by the Senate. He'll be begging Pence for a pardon before Easter.

Right. "So bored" you have to reply to every tweet with a juvenile picture? Trump is the King of Trolls and he will be flushed down the sewer of infamy this November by that Blue Wave. 🌊🙀🌊
