Take away the cameras and Alex Jones’ tirades in public would easily get him committed

I heard his radio show on shortwave last week. It was the first time I had listened to it. I think he’s a whack job.

"Strengthen him?" Every one of his myriad words and deeds have already shown that he is a very weak man.

Regardless of your opinion this is a free speech issue and it’s tolerance sets a dangerous precedent

This is not a free speech issue. These are private companies and they do not have to provide him with an audience. Alex Jones can still say whatever he wants to but he is not provided an audience as a given right.

It’s discrimination towards a particular type of customer. Following your logic would you be equally ok with a baker refusing to make a cake for a same sex couple?

No, it's discrimination against a type of behavior on their platform, a terms of service violation. Just like many platforms ban nudity even though nudity is perfectly legal in many places. They're not banning him for who he is or his beliefs, but for what he DOES on the service

For example, Facebook does not ban porn stars from having accounts, but they will ban an account for posting porn as that is a terms of service violation. Same thing. He can be a vile, hate-mongering bigot on Twitter, but he can't use the platform to incite violence or abuse
