This opens the door to so many bad scenarios, I was born on a military base in a foreign country, are they gonna take my citizenship too because I wasn’t physically in the lower 48? Slippery slope folks, slippery slope.

Evidence please re both Bush n Obama administrations. Unfortunately, we’ve learned to not trust anything said in support of the current administration after soooo many lies.

This stuff happens step by step. Usually carried out with bureaucratic annoyances. Good case study from Germany in the 30s is The Diary of Victor Klemperer. A daily account of how freedoms erode under authoritarian.

My understanding of the parents frustration and the children rights being denied is warranted. However, the State is doing its job by asking for more proof based on location and name. Yes it’s profiling , but should the State just ignore a fraud possibility?

What a despicable and unempathetic response! I imagine you’d feel quite differently if your goverment was trying to steal your childrens citizenship away.
