Thank God. We wouldn’t be America if he can’t be free to express and stand on his right to free speech.

@Kaepernick7 is an inspiration! -
You got that right. I’m sure
@realDonaldTrump will be demanding Sessions to arrest Kaepernick while demanding they stop all prosecutions of Republican criminals. -
He’s perfectly capable! Will likely put a tariff on their goods made in China. No one in the GOP will stop him.

I hope by this time next year Colin Kaepernick’s face is plastered on billboards for everything from sneakers to hair gel and the NFL owners are each fined so much their great grandchildren will feel it.
-
Thank you!! The
#NFL has sided against due process and against the 1st Amendment right to protest! Kaepernick is a true patriot!! The people denigrating him are afraid of justice and decency! -
Read up on the 1st Amendment. Doesn’t apply in the NFL’s case since they are not a government entity.
-
I said the NFL sided against it. I didn't say they violated it.
-
The NFL can’t violate the 1st Amendment. That’s the point. Only government officials/entities can.
-
Yes. Technically you're right but if that makes them pro police brutality I can ask
@LukeAFB to bar anyone under their jurisdiction from supporting these enemies of the constitution...which is what I did. -
It doesn’t make them pro police brutality. It makes them against a form of protest that alienates 1/2 of it’s fan base. It’s about $, man. Always has been. Supporting Kap hurts the bottom line, not supporting Kap hurts the bottom line. NFL is between rock and hard place.
-
People who tend to be offended by the protest are racist and authoritarian. Both are extremely dangerous to our democratic constitutional republic. Police brutality is such an offense against civil society that it cannot be tolerated.

I miss seeing him play, but it is clear that his true calling, and opportunity to effect real change and inspiration, might be much larger than football.
-
Yes, especially since he had already been benched when he decided to start his little tantrum.
-
Protesting police violence isn’t exactly a tantrum. But hey, why let facts destroy your perverted world view? And sometimes players get benched - happens all the time and then they play somewhere else. But again, why let facts destroy your perverted view? Hugs to you!
-
He’s done a fantastic job of taking the focus off of social injustice and making himself the victim! Great mentor.

You either stand for something or fall for anything! Bravo to Nike for taking a knee for Mr. Kaepernick's courageous actions that put his future at risk in protesting with dignity against police brutality towards minorities, especially young Black men!
