May the lord also remind him that all those who have knowledge of a crime against young children who fail to inform the authorities in a timely manner should be jailed as accomplices. Between consenting adults, nobody should care, but when kids are involved, JAIL!

The God that wants be people to stay silent on abuse is not a God. There is nothing, and I repeat nothing, to be gained by protecting abusers and let the victims stay in the dark. Shame on you #PopeFrancis

Ironic how a man who should be portraying "complete trust in God" is surrounded by bodyguards. The pomp, lavish lifestyles of Popes betray their sincerity.

Jesus was very outspoken and was not afraid to take a stance against the religious conservatives, the politicians, the injustice, intolerance and hypocrisy under the guise of faith. @Pontifex should follow his exemple.

Being Silent is a sign of agreeing to wrong doing and it shows that the cover up is far greater than what we know....Resign now, before your silence abuses more children....🤬🤢🤮👎

Humanity and Catholics are not staying silent any longer and we will not be snowed by holy men who claim its virtuous - our God source creator and Jesus Christ would not want any person to be silent about abuse victims

If the Catholic Church were a tax exempt entity of anything other than a church it would have been closed and eviscerated by feds back after the first wave of accusations, decades ago now.

Who exactly are Catholics worshipping if they believe that God would want them to be silent about abuse?

Yeah! You, yourself, Pope Francis, should learn to speak when it is necessary to speak in the defense of defenseless children and be silent when priests, bishops, and cardinals come requesting a transfer to get out of "trouble". A call to the police would also be appropriate.
