An abundance of research has shown that our clothes affect how other people perceive us, as well as how we see ourselveshttps://nyti.ms/2PrNTtR

My two boys had to live through ugly boring colors after age two. I had to purchase in girls section to get turquoise and coral. The problem is they aint made for unisex, no inseam additions, ultra skinny pants, sparkly, glittery stuff they did not prefer. Colors for boys please!

There you go NYT, good job! We think you're finally beginning the process to understand that there's cultural privilege, not privilege based on skin color or ethnicity.

These our our own adult perceptions being projected and getting in the way. I wore boys pants until I was 11 because I was a skinny kid and girls pants were too big for me. They did not affect my perception of myself or the perception others had of me.

Uniforms for school were gaining traction for a while which would minimize some of the bias but then it fizzled out.

Fantastic piece. Shopping for my boys has suddenly become difficult and you realize how limiting options are for both sexes for no reason.
