In the hours after Meghan McCain's eulogy, conservatives have debated whether it was appropriate for her to have used the funeral to make a political statement. This surely would have delighted her father, @katierogers writes.https://nyti.ms/2Pwg3nm

This was HER eulogy for HER father. It wasn’t for those who hated her father because he stayed true to his country unlike themselves.

Oh yes it was, Meghan was celebrating the dedicated loving person John McCain was,her powerful truthful eulogy lies at the heart of a devoted daughter who believed what her father stood for and took the baton of passionate belief too continue his sacrifice of service,#♥️respect

Perhaps instead of debating her speech, they could apply what she said and start debating the disgusting behavior of both Trump & the GOP

Conservatives debating the appropriateness of anything right now is laughable. Unless you’re one of the few unafraid to call out the ridiculous right wing rhetoric poisoning our political discourse you have abdicated your seat on the civility council.

He would have loved every word of it and been proud of her. She honored her father Funny that nobody mentioned Trump by name yet they are still offended.

It was HER FATHER who died. It was HER FATHER who she paid tribute to during that eulogy. If people don’t like it, so what?

LOL. Meghan's father, Sen. John McCain (R) was as political as you can get. Short answer: Yes.

Republicans are mad anytime anyone anywhere ever says something and it's not glorifying their Lord and savior Trump. They've placed their values on and on him and turned their backs on the words of Christ.

It was well stated.....and Days later, the fact that it is still resonating with so many, sums up to perfection what our country is in great need of....an honest heartfelt slap in the face to all people who still stand with Trump.
