Brian Kemp and Stacey Abrams, the Republican and Democrat in Georgia's gubernatorial race, are both trying to appeal to moderate voters. For Kemp, the pivot from far-right candidate to centrist may prove challenging.https://nyti.ms/2Q0GRgL

Nope. Because white supremacy will never be centrist, no matter how much Brian Kemp would like it to be. Also, Abrams isn’t “trying to appeal” to anyone. She’s sharing her platform, and all kinds of voters find it appealing because it’s well-thought-out and makes sense.

Why do candidates get to "pivot"? Doesn't that just mean they are lying to one side or the other? Or at least, being disingenuous?

Why is the republican always called the “far right”? Democrats have plenty of people that are “far left”, why aren’t they labeled that way? This is precisely why half the counter doesn’t trust the media.

He literally had a campaign bus to round up "illegal" immigrants. If that's not far right, I don't know what is. lol. She's not really far left, if she were she'd be a socialist. She's more center left, but sure media media blah blah blah
