E sports isn’t a real things it’s just a rebrand of playing a computer game that fat panda Asians use to feel less disgusting

Go watch a pro-level Starcraft match. They regularly break 400+ Actions per minute. That's a key-press or mouse-click upwards of 6x a second. Now, go try to match it. I type almost 100wpm, and I can't get close. They are athletes in their own right.

No!! Video games are not sport. Spelling Bees are not sport. POKER IS NOT A SPORT. (Neither is driving in circles for hours on end, only making left turns.....but I digress 😂)

Was about to go on a Twitter tirade. Instead, Olympics are about physical excellence. E sports definitely has a place in the mainstream, but it is a game of the mind. Until e sports can incorporate physical athleticism, it should not be an Olympic sport.

There are many sports that involve minimal activity in the Olympics. Shooting, archery & other target sports for example. Most eSports teams have an excercise program regardless. Being unhealthy can impair reaction times & decision making

All of those involve more physical coordination that sitting in front of a screen moving your fingers. While they may maintain an exercise program away from the game, the game itself is not physical. I am not demeaning E sports by saying it's a game of the mind

About half of the current Olympic line up barely qualify as a sport, or even something worth watching, so I say why not? It could hardly make it worse.
