An Ohio State trustee has resigned, saying a 3-game suspension of the football coach Urban Meyer should have been more “profound.” He is the first of the 20 board members to speak publicly about the outcome of the university's investigation.https://nyti.ms/2C1zR00

Nice to know that Jefferey Wadsworth has the integrity others at OSU lack.

The trustee is expressing verbally and with his feet what most people have felt about the deification of a football coach. Who by the way earns millions, but will lie and cheat to protect a man who hit a woman.

Maybe he doesn't want to be associated with those that allowed this to happen. Maybe he thinks this may keep it in the news enough to force them to rectify the situation.

How are the Ohio State fans going to keep spreading the "there was nothing on nobody" story line now?

Lol because there wasnt. The only thing of real substance to come out of this was a likely recruiting violation at a strip club with Smith and Tom Herman

Oh, you're saying the investigation was complete enough that nothing can be proven so no infractions from the NCAA will occur, and Meyer will continue being Meyer? I meant how can fans still defend him.

A man with courage and a conscience just spoke up and said what thousands upon thousands are thinking. The weak and cowardly punishment is why violent and sexually abusive men keep doing what they do.Obviously, football is more important than moral courage and justice.

Thank God for that lone voice. We need more like him. Sports bring big money to universities, and that creates an atmosphere of privilege and permissiveness which must end.
