At Ohio State, where football is “basically a religion,” Urban Meyer’s suspension has led to hard questions on the power of its sports programhttps://nyti.ms/2Plcvo1

This entire article is filled with quotes from people who clearly have no knowledge of the evidence or case and simply have latched onto the media concocted narrative that this was some hiding or suppressing domestic violence. IT WAS NOT. They were ALLEGATIONS.

What’s terrifying is the ignorance is carrying the narrative torch for the media who wants this to be something it never was. What they are actually advocating is someone losing their job or punished for ACCUSATIONS. This is not America.

Meyer was suspended because of the narrative created and the narrative that would ensue if he didn’t get suspended. The suspension was an appeasement to the hysterical media and hashtag mobs. That’s it. Read the whole report and it’s fairly clear all did what was expected.

We have got to stop latching on to small details or small half truths of stories and running with it on a larger scale or some national travesty. That’s how you get ratings, that’s how you make news and not report it. This wasn’t half of what was ginned up.

Maybe they should withdraw from the Big Ten like the University of Chicago did, and build a kickass library.

@OSUCoachMeyer wants this story to die, thought 2 weeks on ice would kill it. Investigation was a hoax, @OSUPrezDrake was a useful idiot. @OhioStateFB RULEZ!!!

Everyone is trying to destroy Urban Meyer, the OSU football coach for not reporting his asst. for spousal abuse. Trump and his Chief of staff Kelly, knew about Rob Porters past abuse of his wife but kept him employed at the White House regardlessly until the news reported it.

Alleged spousal abuse. Nine police investigations generated no charges. When the alleged abused mother questions the validity of the claims, it seems odd to me that UM was supposed to do something else.

OSU needs to decide if they’re an academic institution or a football factory. Seems like the latter driven for football rankings and glory. Meyer would be fired in an instant if he pulled this at USC or Stanford.
